From Admission to Euronext Amsterdam, Universal Music Group N.V. plans to annually declare and pay dividends to all holders of its shares on a pro rata basis in two semi-annual installments, in an aggregate amount of not less than 50% of the Company’s net profits realized during the relevant financial year, subject to agreed non-cash items and subject further to any applicable laws on dividend payments. In line with this planning, Universal Music Group intends to pay an interim dividend in the fourth quarter of each financial year, after the publication of its half-year figures, and a final dividend in the second quarter of the following financial year, to be paid following approval of its financial statements at its annual General Meeting.
The following timetable shall apply with respect to the payment of the final dividend of EUR 0.20 per share that was approved at the annual general meeting of shareholders held on May 12, 2022: May 16, 2022: Ex-dividend date; May 17, 2022: Dividend record date; and June 8, 2022: Final dividend payment date.
Dividend Reinvestment Plan
ABN AMRO Bank N.V. is responsible for the execution of the interim and final dividend payments on behalf of Universal Music Group and offers shareholders the option to participate in a so-called dividend reinvestment plan (a DRIP). By participating in the DRIP, shareholders can reinvest their net interim and final cash dividends by purchasing additional UMG shares. Further information regarding the DRIP will be made available to shareholders through their financial intermediaries.
